Plastochem CPVC Solvent Cement is a type of adhesive specifically designed for joining Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride pipes and fittings. It is a thermoplastic material known for its ability to handle higher temperatures and greater pressure compared to standard PVC. CPVC solvent cement shares many similarities with PVC solvent cement but is formulated to work specifically with CPVC materials.

  • Strong, Permanent Bond:
    • Chemical Fusion: CPVC solvent cement doesn’t just “glue” parts together—it chemically softens and fuses the pipe and fitting surfaces, creating a joint that is as strong as or stronger than the pipe itself.
    • Leak-Proof Seals: This fusion results in durable, leak-free connections that stand up well under pressure and long-term use.
  • High-Temperature Resistance: Plasto chem plumbing lubricant glue is designed to withstand higher temperatures compared to PVC solvent cement, making it suitable for hot water applications such as in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
  • Pressure Resistance: CPVC pipes and fittings joined with solvent cement can handle greater pressure than standard PVC, making them suitable for applications where higher pressure is expected, such as in industrial settings or fire sprinkler systems.
  • Compatibility: CPVC solvent cement is compatible with CPVC pipes and fittings of the same size and schedule. It’s important to use solvent cement specifically formulated for CPVC to ensure proper adhesion and compatibility.
  • Installation: Plastochem CPVC solvent cement is applied to the surfaces of the CPVC pipes and fittings to be joined. The solvent softens the material, allowing the pieces to be pressed together, forming a strong bond. The joint sets quickly, allowing for efficient installation.
  • Water and Chemical Resistance: Adhesive strong & durable bond creates watertight seals that are resistant to corrosion and chemical degradation, ensuring long-term durability and reliability of the joined CPVC components.
