Know How to Use CPVC Solvent Cement
Application Areas:
Plastochem CPVC Solvent Cement i s formulated for use on cold and hot water CPVC piping systems up to 180°F (82°C) maximum, ideal for both residential & commercial plumbing, recreational vehicles and in industrial systems. In accordance with ASTM F 493, for use in DVW systems and sewer applications. Onestep cement can be used for CPVC Pipe & Fitting from ½” (20mm) through 4” (100mm) without primer, if local code permits.
Quality Assurance
Plastochem CPVC Solvent Cement is carefully evaluated to assure that consistent high quality is maintained. Laboratory testing and regular check helps to track the quality consistency of the product. Batch identification code is stamped on each container and containers are tightly sealed to avoid evaporation of solvents which provide better shelf life.
Storage & shelf life
Store in cool and dry place, preferably away from direct sun light. The material has a life of 2 year in tightly sealed containers in a proper storage container. Stability depends on evaporation of the solvent when the container is opened. Don’t add any thinner to change the viscosity of solvent cement, it may change its general properties.
Store between 40oF(5°C) and 90°F(33°C).
Limitations & Precautions:
- Replace the cap immediately after use. Avoid using fingers for application.
- Wear safety glasses with side shields and wear rubber gloves.
- Flammable material. Keep away from naked flame and reach of children.
- Do not use in system using or being tested by compressed.
