Limitations & Precautions:
- It is a ready to use tile adhesive, do not add water or cement further.
- To avoid lumps, always add powder to water and mix it slowly with low-speed mixer not with hands.
- Surface should be dry, clean and free from all the dirt, oil etc. before application.
- Use of notched trowel is mandatory to achieve required thickness of adhesive.
- Protect it from rainfall and foot traffic for at least 24 hours.
- Designer/Applicator must evaluate the use of an additional mechanical fastening system for extra security for more than 3m height (such as steel hooks fastened to the substrate).
- Don’t use on surfaces which are subject to vibrations.
- Use of gloves and goggles is recommended. In case of contact, rinse with clean water.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Method of Application:
- Surface should be clean and free from all the dirt, oil, grease, concrete sealer or curing compounds.
- They should be structurally sound, leveled, properly cured, undamaged, rigid, resistant, pre-wet and protected against damp rising.
- Expansion joints to be filled properly with suitable sealants (not with tile adhesive).
- Installation should be done on a dry surface. New Concrete slabs should be damp cured and at least 28 days old prior to application.
- Pour Hardener (Part B) in Resin (Part A) into a clean mixing bucket/container and mix it gradually with slow speed mixer (<500 rpm) to get a uniform, lump-free paste in workable consistency. Don’t add additional water.
- Mix only that much quantity which can be consumed in an hour.
- Leave the mixture for 5 minutes before use.
- Apply the mixed material uniformly on the surface with the help of flat side of notched trowel. Additional mortar should be applied with the notched edge of the trowel.
- Use proper size of notched trowel to ensure full bedding of tile.
- For larger size tiles with sides > 2 feet, apply mortar on the back of the tile as well with flat sided notched trowel.
- Then press the tile firmly and hammer gently with soft mallet to ensure the perfect bond.
- Check the adhesive ribs periodically and if a skin has formed, removed the dried adhesive and apply fresh adhesive.
- Use Suitable support along with adhesive for fixing tiles on vertical surfaces.
- Clean the surplus adhesive from the joints.
- As required, use tile spacer to provide grout joints between tiles/stones and leave the tile applied untouched for 24 hours.
- Remove the tile spacers after 24 hours when tiles are firmly set.
- Then Grout with TileOX™ 402 Epoxy tile grout for stainless and crack resistant joints.
- Clean any excess adhesive/grout/Epoxy grout with TileOX™ Tile Cleaner and then wipe with a damp sponge/cloth.
