“Samay Se Pahle Samajhdari Dikhao, Monsoon Se Pahle Water Proofing Karwao”
Surface Preparation
- Clean the wall surface thoroughly using a wire brush. Remove dust, dirt, loose particles, oil, grease, or old paint. You can use a broom or a brush to sweep the surface. A clean surface allows the terrace waterproofing solution to stick better.
- Ensure the surface is slightly damp but not wet before application. Do not apply on standing water.
Repair Damaged Areas
- Fill cracks and holes with polymer-modified mortar.
- Let the patched areas cure properly (at least 24–48 hours).
Prepare the Waterproofing Slurry
- Mix cement and acrylic polymer in the recommended ratio.
- Stir continuously to avoid lumps. Use a mechanical stirrer for larger areas.
Apply the Coats (First, Second & Third)
- Apply the first coat using Plastochem 209 Crete+ Water Proofing Chemicals uniformly in one direction (horizontal or vertical) using a brush or roller, allow it to dry for 4–6 hours or as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first coat’s direction (if first was horizontal, apply second vertically). This ensures proper coverage and sealing of micro-pores. Let it cure for 24 hours minimum.
- For high-moisture areas (e.g., bathrooms or terraces), apply a third coat using Plastochem 201 IPW+ Water Proofing Chemical for the same method. Cure again for 24–48 hours.
After all above process, enjoy your relaxed life without any terrace water leakage in your home or office.
